Get started today!Hondros College of Business was established on November 25, 2009 in Westerville, Ohio, by founders, John, and Linda Hondros. The College received its initial Certificate of Registration from the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools in May 2010 and opened its doors with 2 students in January 2011. HCB offers an online Associate Degree of Applied Business in Business and Management program.
HCB was granted institutional accreditation from ACICS in August 2014. In May 2019, the College was approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. In December 2019, McKissock Investment Holdings LLC acquired Hondros College of Business, and received its new Certificate of Registration from the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools in January 2020.
On February 28, 2022, HCB was granted a three-year grant of accreditation with the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), expiring January 2025. On November 29, 2022 HCB was approved to offer select courses in a self-paced learning format. On June 1, 2024 HCB moved into a new state of the art building in Westerville, Ohio 43081. Today under the direction of Tina Lapp, President, HCB continues to offer quality distance education in the online Associate Degree of Applied Business in Business Management program.
Hondros College of Business is in Columbus, Ohio and approved by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools – Registration #1926. The OSBCCS monitors and regulates Ohio’s private post-secondary career colleges and schools to ensure compliance with minimum standards as established by Ohio law. For more information, visit OSBCCS
Hondros College of Business is approved by the Ohio Department of Education to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
As a member of NC-SARA, HCB only needs home state authorization to offer distance education to students residing in any other SARA member state. A list of NC-SARA states and institutions can be viewed in the NC-SARA Institution Directory.
